DESCRIPTION:Women green entrepreneurs are driving climate solutions—but unpaid care work and limited access to finance continue to hold many back. Through the Greenovations Africa 2 webinar series\, women entrepreneurs\, funders\, policymakers\, Enterprise Support Organizations (ESOs)\, and researchers from Africa and Latin America will come together to explore practical solutions for building a more inclusive green economy. The series will spotlight ways to recognize\, reduce\, redistribute\, and reward unpaid care work while improving access to climate finance for grassroots women-led green enterprises. She is from Madagascar and has a background in economics and energy policy\, with experience in climate transparency at the UNFCCC and across various sustainable development areas. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBelinda PutterillManaging DirectorUSE-IT Ethekwini Waste Materials Recovery Industry Development \n\n\n\nBelinda Putterill is the Managing Director of USE-IT Waste Beneficiation (RF) NPC in South Africa. She leads practical circular economy and waste beneficiation initiatives that support job creation\, township enterprise development\, and landfill diversion. Belinda works closely with grassroots and women entrepreneurs in the waste sector\, helping to strengthen inclusive green value chains and improve access to skills\, markets\, and funding. She is a strong advocate for recognising women as climate solution leaders and for making climate finance more accessible to women-led green enterprises. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMartha KangwaCo-Founder and DirectorNsansala Conservancy LTD \n\n\n\nMartha Mutizhe Kangwa is Co-Founder and Director at Nsansala Conservancy Limited\, where she leads work on projects\, compliance\, and business development focused on climate-resilient and sustainable livelihoods. She brings over 25 years of experience across housing finance\, real estate\, and agribusiness\, including senior leadership roles at the Zambia National Building Society\, and has contributed to innovative financing models\, community-based climate solutions\, and strategic development initiatives. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBankole OloruntobaCEONigeria Climate Innovation Center \n\n\n\nBankole Oloruntoba is the CEO of the Nigeria Climate Innovation Center\, a World Bank-backed initiative supporting Nigeria’s green economy. Since its inception\, the NCIC has incubated over 60 green ventures and seed-funded 24 with a total of $240\,000 USD\, partnering with organizations like Coca-Cola Foundation and GIZ. Bankole is also the Honorary Consul to Finland in Lagos and holds degrees from ABU Zaria\, Lagos Business School\, and Business School Netherlands. He is a social and business tactics engagement specialist with a deep background in entrepreneurship development\, business development and innovation management. Bankole started the Abuja startup Ecosystem and has supported the setup of over 15 innovation hubs in Nigeria. As a thought leader in climate-focused startups and entrepreneurship in West Africa\, he advises numerous organizations and has been instrumental in developing Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem.
