Chipo Banda started the business after observing local households relying on increasingly expensive charcoal while agricultural waste such as maize stalks, groundnut shells, and sawdust was being burned or discarded. She developed a small-scale briquette production enterprise that converts waste biomass into affordable cooking fuel for households and small restaurants.
